Bakersfield, CA (Thursday, March 21, 2024) – Cal South’s Kern County Soccer Park is teaming up with Skyhawks Bakersfield and SuperTots to carry out sport-based, child development classes and camps at its facilities.

Classes and camps will take place in the course of the spring and summer seasons, with multiple sports offerings such as golf, football, cheerleading, volleyball, and soccer, as well as a Multi-SportTots class. The programs are available for children between 3 and 14 years old. Registration is now open for classes and spring break camps scheduled to start between March 26 and April 6.

With this partnership, Kern County Soccer Park and Skyhawks Bakersfield aim to open more spaces for children to develop their skills in soccer and other sports, as well as enjoy a team recreational environment that supports their learning and development.

Skyhawks is a premier youth sports camp organization that has been dedicated to nurturing young athletes for over 40 years. With a strong presence in over 500 communities across the United States, Skyhawks offers skill-based programs in a variety of sports including soccer, basketball, flag football, baseball, and more. The Academy is renowned for its focus on teaching life skills through sports, promoting teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.

The partnership at Kern County Soccer Park is a testament to the strength of Cal South within the community. Cal South is renowned for its 50-year legacy in Southern California as the leading youth and adult soccer association, and outside of its soccer programming, the association has been positively contributing to the recreational options for youth in the greater Bakersfield area with its Kern County Soccer Park facility, which welcomes 50,000+ families annually for Cal South’s tournaments, leagues, and partnership events such as the exciting partnership with Skyhawks.
